Jesus Dollars

Service Description

In 2016, Tim’s Gift received its very first “Jesus Dollar” from Wanda Ellis. She shared the story behind it—how simple one-dollar gifts, given in faith, were used to help fund a fellowship building. Just days later, while talking about this idea, Becky and Jennifer experienced something unexpected. Jennifer reached into her pocket and discovered she already had a Jesus Dollar—despite never having seen or heard of one before. Across the top were the words, “PEACE…more than enough income.” In that moment, they recognized it as a God-given sign. Inspired by this experience, they stepped out in faith and launched the Jesus Dollar Ministry as a way to invite others to be part of something meaningful. What began with a single dollar grew into a joyful and faith-filled effort to meet a real need at Tim’s Gift—expanded and secure storage space for donated medical equipment and supplies. From mid-March through December of 2016, supporters generously gave 2,415 Jesus Dollars. As the ministry grew, the vision expanded to include not only “J” for Jesus, but also “G” for God, “K” for King of Kings, and “L” for Lord—each dollar representing faith, provision, and the power of community coming together in His name. Funds given through the Jesus Dollar Drive are used to build, improve, and maintain storage space so that all donated equipment can be kept clean, safe, and ready to bless those in need. When additional needs arise, these resources help ensure Tim’s Gift is prepared to respond with care and excellence. Any funds beyond these needs are prayerfully directed to The Hope Project Fund, which assists individuals and families with medical expenses. This fund is further supported through our annual Hope Project Golf Tournament, continuing the mission of sharing hope, help, and God’s love in tangible ways.
